Ramzan Kadyrov searches for pretty, demure second wife

Grosny. Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov is in favour of polygamy, at least in his household! He, in agreement with his wife, is currently searching for a second wife.

The Islamic Sharia law gives every man the right to have four wives, as long as he loves them, stated Kadyrov in a interview with the Komosmolskaya Pravda. However the man has to be able to build a house, offer every wife the same conditions and does not restrict their rights in any way, explained the ruling and autocratic Chechen leader.

First wives have their say in the matter

This is much more honest than getting a lover, when the situation at home is bad and the children are hungry. It is also a prerequisite for the second marriage that the first wive has to be in agreement.

The current Chechen law, based on the Russian family law, states, that a man can only have one wife. Head of families, unofficially, keep lovers which is why the issue of legalisation of such relationships is being discussed again.

Kadryov, himself, is in favour of keeping a small harem, despite the current family law. He stated in an interview that he has been looking for a second wife for some time, but has been unable to find a beautiful one. Once he found one he would like to marry straight away. His wife is in agreement, otherwise he would have not married her in the first place, he added.

In Grozny, shorts and mini skirts are not prohibited

According to Kadryov there are no official rules in Chechenya, that state how women dress in public. He denied that liberally dressed women are being shot at with paint; “Maybe there was an isolated case that got inflated by the media”. He suggested to the reporters to go to Chechenya and talk to young women themselves. There are hundreds of girls running around without wearing head scarfs. They wear short skirts and shorts.

He made it understood, that he himself did not approve of the liberal dress code but would not be able to prohibit it. According to Islamic rules, women have to cover up their bear flesh. He therefore had insisted that women have to wear knee long skirts and dress modestly when a work.

Otherwise, work ethic for us 'hot men from the Caucasus' would deteriorate; if for example a deputy minister walks around half naked with open hair no-one would be able to carry on with their work in the Chechen Republic.
