NATO and Russia discuss missile defence system in Sochi

Sochi. A future joint missile defence system is subject of discussion during the NATO-Russia meeting at the Black Sea resort of Sochi. NATO considers Russia's proposal of a joint defence system. However, the talks remain so far inconclusive.
Therefore, Moscow expressed a few days ago that it is expecting a clear position from NATO. Should the talks fail, Moscow will start the construction of its own defence system by the end of this year.

Russia feels threatened by a possible unilateral action NATO's.

During the conference at the Black Sea resort in Sochi that is held by ambassadors, Kremlin chief Dmitry Medvedev will meet with NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen. If they will be able to find a solution with regards to missile defence is unclear.
During the meeting, developments in Libya will be discussed. Russia criticised the continuation of NATO air attacks that are not included in the Libya resolution by the UN Security Council.
