A short information about the makers of Russia Now
Moscow/Berlin/St.Petersburg. Russia-Now brings to you the highlights from Russland-Aktuell in English, because we think our coverage of Russia is of interest for an international readership. We combine a European approach to reporting with insider knowledge of Russia.
Russia-Now is the English short version of the German Internet publication Russland-Aktuell. Russia-Now will grow over time – and especially fast during the upcoming election season.

“Not to be grasped by the mind, nor to be measured in miles,” claims the Russian proverb. Russia has always been seen as the country of unfathomable riddles, myths, dreams, revolutions, repression, nightmares and hopes.
But we at Russia-Now are nonetheless committed to tracking and explaining the Russian path to modernisation.
Not pretending to know all the answers, but instead describing problems, events and policies precisely and accurately. Accompanied by facts and figures, commentaries and interviews, breaking news and background reports.
The only thing that beats reading our Internet publication is to travel around the country itself: through the almost endless lands lying between the Baltic and the Bering Straits.
With Russia-Now, we want to increase knowledge about today’s new Russia, where most of our team of journalists have lived and work over many years
Our correspondents all live and work in Russia – in Kaliningrad, St. Petersburg, Moscow and in provincial towns.
